In Indonesia, the scouting movement is called Scout, stands Praja Muda Karana. It means that work orangmuda. Scouting movement was standing in the country since the time of movement. Being self-reliance activities that train, discipline, team cooperation, the formation of character, love of homeland, and other positive things.

In Scouting, we are taught love of country, love of neighbor, love of nature and love of God. Scout Movement is still relevant to contemporary. In the midst of rapid globalization and modern lifestyle that deny the identity and all of Indonesian, Scouts can become one of the stem movement and adapt in the middle of the swift rush of foreign values. Scouts prepare scouting generation, young generation of self-Indonesia berjati a resilient, strong faith, and strong creativity.

Value of Scouting and the spirit is still made an impression on my chest and head. When Indonesia Raya songs reverberate, there is a sense of emotion and patriotism in my soul. I can not mencuekin when Indonesia Merah Putih Raya and flown.

But now, I have seen many young people are still laughing, ignorant, indifferent when Indonesia Raya sung, not memorized the song Nationality, forgot to Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution as well as indifferent when the Red and White lay trampled and wilted.

Arti lambang Pramuka

Lambang Gerakan Pramuka adalah tanda pengenal organisasi Gerakan Pramuka yang bersifat tetap. Lambang ini diciptakan oleh Soenardjo Atmodipuro, seorang pegawai tinggi Departemen Pertanian yang juga tokoh pramuka.

Lambang ini dipergunakan pertama kali sejak tanggal 14 Agustus 1961, ketika Presiden Republik Indonesia Ir. Soekarno menganugrahkan Panji Gerakan Pendidikan Kepanduan Nasional Indonesia kepada organisasi Gerakan Pramuka melalui Keputusan Presiden Republik Indonesia Nomor 448 tahun 1961.

Bentuk : Lambang Gerakan Pramuka berbentuk / berupa Silluete Tunas Kelapa. (lihat gambar di samping) Penjabaran tentang Lambang ini ditetapkan dalam SK Kwarnas Nomer 06/KN/72 tentang Lambang Gerakan Pramuka.

Arti Kiasan : Lambang Gerakan Pramuka mengandung arti kiasan sebagai berikut:

1.Buah nyiur dalam keadaan tumbuh dinamakan cikal. Ini mengandung arti Pramuka adalah inti bagi kelangsungan hidup bangsa (tunas penerus bangsa).
2.Buah nyiur tahan lama. Ini mengandung arti, Pramuka adalah orang yang jasmani dan rohaninya kuat dan ulet.
3.Nyiur dapat tumbuh dimana saja. Ini mengandung arti, Pramuka adalah orang yang mampu beradaptasi dalam kondisi apapun
4.Nyiur tumbuh menjulang tinggi. Ini mengandung arti, setiap Pramuka memiliki cita-cita yang tinggi.
5.Akar nyiur kuat. Mengandung arti, Pramuka berpegang pada dasar-dasar yang kuat.
6.Nyiur pohon yang serbaguna. Ini mengandung arti, Pramuka berguna bagi nusa, bangsa dan agama.
